Description

We investigated the taxonomic composition and abundance of sea-ice meiofauna (here heterotrophs >10 µm) at eight ice stations on Arctic pack ice north of Svalbard. Sampling was conducted during spring in 2015 by sea-ice coring. The bottom 10 cm of each ice core was investigated for sea-ice meiofauna and abundances of individuals/m² were calculated from counting numbers.
