Replication dataset for "Reducing measurement error in riverbank litter sampling

This dataset accompanies the publication “Reducing measurement error in riverbank litter sampling.” In this study, we quantify measurement error in a commonly used method for sampling riverbank litter and provide recommendations on how protocol design can be optimized to reduce such error. Incorporating these recommendations can help reduce measurement uncertainty, improve the reliability of long-term litter assessments, and strengthen evidence-based decision-making in litter management.
