Description
These samples were used to explore the physiology of M. caeni to gain a deeper understanding of the metabolic adaptations and energy-generation processes employed by this microorganism when utilizing methanol and CO as carbon and energy sources. This is done by a genomic comparison of Moorella species and an analysis of the key differences in M. caeni C1-metabolism using a transcriptomics approach.
