Longitudinal VOCs profiling by direct-injection mass spectrometry reveals the interaction between the gut microbiota and dietary fibers in-vitro

Dataset

Description

This dataset contains supplementary data files used in the analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released over time from gut microbiota related to three type of fermentations and a control: basal medium, inulin, oat bran and sterile medium (Control). The files are organized as follows:

ClusterMap: Contains hierarchical clustering results and heatmap visualizations of VOC profiles across different sample types and time points, generated using Seaborn’s clustermap function.

Concentration Time Battery Plots: Time-course plots displaying VOC concentrations over various fermentation stages for each substrate, alll the observed temporal changes in VOC profiles.

Datasets: The raw and processed VOC data collected using Proton Transfer Reaction Mass Spectrometry (PTR-MS) for each substrate, including replicate measurements.

DIABLO: Data files and scripts related to the DIABLO (Data Integration Analysis for Biomarker discovery using Latent cOmponents) framework used to integrate VOCs measurments across PTR-MS and GC-MS platforms

RM-ASCA: Results from the RM-ASCA (Repeated Measures Analysis of Variance-Simultaneous Component Analysis) performed to identify significant VOC variations across time points and substrates.
