Description
This genome is part of a project that aims to broaden our understanding of the evolutionary development of insects. Ephemera vulgata was selected as an early diverging non-model organism, serving as an outgroup to modern winged insects (Neoptera), displaying the ancestral short germ mode of development. RNAseq reads were assembled de novo to generate a developmental transcriptome for a temporal differential expression study.
