Description
The dataset includes all the Delft3D-FM morphodynamic model configurations used for the results in the paper "Cascading Response of a Barrier Coast to Estuarine Wetland Loss".
The morphodynamic simulations were performed using Delft3D Flexible Mesh, version 2025.01, developed by Deltares (https://www.deltares.nl/en/software-and-data/products/delft3d-flexible-mesh-suite). Delft3D Flexible Mesh is distributed as open-source software (GNU AGPL), with the source code freely available. Pre-compiled binaries and full software packages are provided separately by Deltares and may require a license or service agreement.
Each scenario required approximately three days of wall‑clock time to complete and was executed using 16 pre-defined parallel partitions with the Message Passing Interface (MPI), implemented via Open MPI, on the Wageningen University high‑performance computing cluster Anunna (https://www.wur.nl/en/longread/shared-research-facility-high-performance-computing-cluster-anunna).
The model output files are not included due to storage limitations. The original source data used for constructing model input are not included as well, but are freely accessible. Please find references to the source data in the accompanying research article.
