Data underlying the publication: Haplotype-Resolved Swine Leukocyte Antigen (SLA) Gene Typing Using Long-Read Whole Genome Sequencing

Dataset

Description

This dataset contains haplotype-resolved assemblies (FASTA) of the SLA Class I and Class II genes for 56 pigs. Specifically, the regions from the SLA-1 gene up to and including the SLA-2 gene, and the region from the SLA-DRB1 gene up to and including the SLA-DQB1 gene. This data was generated for a study aiming to identify SLA genes based on long-read whole-genome sequence data. NextDenovo was used to construct haploid assemblies from Oxford Nanopore long-read sequence data. The contigs containing the SLA region were extracted, and haplotypes were resolved using either HapDup or a combination of Clair3+Whatshap+Flye. The methods used to produce each FASTA file are specified in the accompanying metadata table.
