Description
It is important to employ appropriate sampling methods for assessment of gut microbiota in humans and animals. This study was designed to evaluate whether rectal swabs offer a reliable and efficient sampling method, that allows determination of (age-related) microbiota colonisation pattern in piglets, compared to fecal samples.
