Every day, healthcare serves about a million meals. Research by Wageningen University & Research shows that in addition to the environmental benefits, approximately 50,000 to 150,000 euros per hospital in discarded food can be saved. Reducing food waste is therefore high on the agenda of many hospitals and healthcare institutions. The interview focuses on the research carried out by WUR.
