Description
VerDuS SURF (Smart Urban Regions of the Future 2016-2020) is the knowledge program of the departments of Infrastructure and Water Management (IenW) and the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK), NWO, Platform31 and the National Directorate for Practice-oriented Research SIA in the field of smart urban regions. The (currently approximately) 50 research projects within VerDuS SURF provide increasingly interesting knowledge for (national) policy.This concerns knowledge on the following themes1:
• mobility and infrastructure;
• sustainability, climate and energy transition; • governance and participation;
• economic resilience;
• space and living.
Main question of the workshop:
How do we ensure a good (further2) dialogue and exchange of knowledge between policymakers and scientists within the three departments involved (IenW, BZK and EZK), in which policymakers are inspired to incorporate the most relevant insights from VerDuS SURF into their work? ?
