    Description

Teachers use all kinds of digital material in their electronic learning environments. Most of the times, teachers make these materials themselves, however, it gets more and more common to reuse materials of others. A problem herein is, that teachers risk a fine, or even a lawsuit, when using copyrighted material without permission.
In this interactive workshop we are going to look at Open Educational Resources (OER), materials which are publically available and allow, sometimes to a certain extent, reuse on electronic learning environments. We will look at ways to find open educational content (images, videos, journal articles, textbooks, courses) and explain the various Creative Commons Licenses used. Furthermore, we present ways to properly share your own content. One way is the Library for Learning, an OER search system set up for Wageningen University course materials.
