Withing the international conference on urban food futures: Asian perspectives, one of the sessions was about food value chains, and food loss and waste prevention and management experiences. The aim of this session was to get a broader understanding how collaboration of stakeholders in the private- and public sector in the food value chain can reduce food loss and waste, and to learn from experiences on food loss and waste prevention and management experiences.

The session included:
- Introduction speech + introduction presenters and panelist.
- Presentation on Reducing food loss and waste by implementing a food value chain approach.
- Presentation on Black Soldier Fly production and its future application, and
- Panel session on urban waste future
