Description
Sociocracy is an organisational structure in which every member takes part in a smaller group, an organisational circle, which is usually task oriented. Such a structure allows everyone to – via representation – co-decide on his/her own tasks and topics of interest. This bottom-up organisation promotes active involvement and influence of everyone. Essential part of sociocracy is to take important decisions together with ‘consent’: the principle of having no objection. WUR Plant Breeding is currently implementing sociocracy and the consent method, and this brings about great changes.
