Description

On 5 March 2024 the on-line webinar on “Global harmonized in situ data for mapping”, under the ESA funded GEOSS Platform Plus project (GPP), was organized. In this webinar we demonstrated the WorldCereal in situ reference repository as it is and how users can access, explore and work with the data. This repository hosts more than 100 harmonized datasets providing detailed information on land cover, crop type and/or irrigation practices (paper). We highlighted recent developments and explored ways to engage our community. One direction is to make this repository visible in the GEOSS infrastructure e.g. via the GEOSS portal and the Geo Knowledge Hub.
