On Friday 18 January, Pim de Zwart and Jan Luiten van Zanden will present their new book ‘The Origins of Globalization. World Trade in the Making of the Global Economy, 1500-1800’, published by Cambridge University Press. This celebratory event will take place at the Academiegebouw in the Kanunnikenzaal from 15.00-18.00 hours, Peer Vries (Emeritus Professor Global History, University of Vienna) and Ewout Frankema (Professor Rural and Environmental History, Wageningen University) will discuss the subject of the book with us.
